When do you expect the tourney updated module to be available?  We are announcing the bracket today on Sports Talk 950 WPEN in Philadelphia around noon.  I'm sure that once the brackets are announced we'll want to get the new module in as soon as possible.

Patrick,

We are releasing an update on the selection Sunday (Mar 11), for the division I Men's tournament. This is the only bracket update we planning to release.

Also, a word of caution about releasing the bracket in an environment with potentially large number of users. We tested the module last year with about 20 participants, and we felt it was getting close to the upper usability limit for the module.

The potential issue is relating to performance. The algorithm we use to calculate the max points possible increases the query time when rendering the results. We ran a tourney of about 30 and it was about 5-10 seconds slower returning results than a tourney of about 10. We could possibly create a build without this field that may work at that volume, but since we have never run it at that level, there is no guarantee. Have you already purchased the module? If so, what type of environment is it being hosted in?

We used to last year with about 40 people in the pool and saw very few issues. Will the new bracket be available to download for those who purchased the module last year?

Alright, we'll remove the field out of the standings module.  For users that really want it and are running very small pools, we'll still make available by request the original standings module. 
Regarding the new bracket, since we have labor invovled updating the bracket, existing users of the 06' module will be required to pay a small upgrade fee to get the 07' version.  Please email service@modulemasters.com for an invoice.  We will also put a button on the NCAA page for upgrading users.
