Hello,

I have a client looking for a RS solution that will allow for both AD authentication, and static authentication, or DNN built in authentication. Will this module do both? Can my internal users just pass through their AD credentials, and my external users go through a predetermined connection string? I could have separate module instances for each.

Any help is appreciated,

David

Whoops, misread. It will be running against SQL 2005 RS.

Well, DNN will support both authentication methods, the module is set to use a common credential set for accessing the reporting services web service. You would then rely on security setup within DNN to authenticate which users would have access to display the module. We have thought about pushing through the user's credentials, but this method leveraging the DNN security actually is the most flexible. We have pondered allowing AD passthrough, but have not written it in to do this since you'd have to give users access to some of the module settings which may be unwanted in many cases. Please feel free to download the demo of the module and use it, it functions 100% until it expires!
