I am getting the error "Unable to load client print control" when trying to print. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I resolve the issue?

Thanks.

What browser are you using? The control is an activex control that only works in IE unfortunately.

I'm using IE7. The Install message pops up. I click on install and that's when I get the error.

Here's what another client reported fixing this issue in their environment as well:

We applied the following steps on our reporting server

1) Install CU 9 (a Microsoft update)

2) Uninstall the existing ReportViewer.exe

3) REBOOT (missed this one)

4) Install the service packed, hotfixed version of the ReportViewer 2005 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=82833f27-081d-4b72-83ef-2836360a904d&DisplayLang=en)

Thanks for the info. Apparently the issue is with our reporting server.

I'm also getting the error "Unable to load client print control".  I set up the rs module to access RS 2005 reports on a remote server.  The print button works fine if I access the report directly.  I only see the error when I access the report via the module.  Is there a setting I'm missing?

I assume you are on IE and have the activex security controls set?

Oh yeah, what version of the module are you using?

I'm using IE 8.  I'm not sure about the activex security controls  -- In IE 8, what is this setting called?  I'm using the Reporting Services module version 4.3.0 with DNN version 5.06.01.  Thanks!

Did you try the suggestions in the link up further in this post? The IE setting is mentioned in there as well...

Yes I tried those suggestions.  The print control loads without problems when I access the report directly, it's only through the Reporting Services module that I receive this error message.
